Bildung:
Im Present Progressive wird das Passive im Englischen gebildet mit:
am/is/are + being + Past Participle (3. Form)
z.B. The car is being sold (sell).
Personalformen:
Bilde alle Passivformen von “give”:
1.P.EZ.: I am being given
2.P.EZ.: you are being given
3.P.EZ.m.: he is being given
3.P.EZ.w.: she is being given
3.P.EZ.s.: it is being given
1.P.MZ.: we are being given
2.P.MZ.: you are being given

Active:

Passive Voice:
A car | is being bought | by Sue.

Beispielsätze:
a) Singular:
Active: He is telling a story.
Passive: A story is being told by him.
Passive Question: Is a story being told by him?
Passive Negation: A story is not being told by him.
b) Plural:
Active: They are building two cottages
Passive: Two cottages are being built by them.
Passive Question: Are two cottages being built by them?
Negation: Two cottages are not being built by them.

Verben, die zwei Objekte erlauben/verbs that may take two objects:
bring, give, offer, show, tell, write, allow, ask…
Beispiele:
Active: She is giving me a present.
Passive I: I am being given a present by her.
Passive II: A present is being given to me by her.
Active: She is writing him a letter.
Passive I: He is being written a letter by her.
Passive II: A letter is being written to him by her.
