Verwendung: 

Definition und Verwendung

Wir verwenden possessives pronouns without nouns, um schon bekannte Informationen nicht zu wiederholen


This cat is my cat, not your cat

(Diese Katze is meine Katze, nicht deine Katze)


→ This cat is mine not yours. 

(Diese Katze ist meine und nicht deine.)


Man spricht auch von einem substantivistischen Gebrauch.


Dieser Gebrauch dient der Betonung des verwendeten Possessivpronomen.
Independent pronouns stehen allein am Anfang oder Ende eines Satz.

Vorbemerkung: Die dritte Person Einzahl sächlich wird hier nicht verwendet.

1. Person Einzahl: mine (meine, meiner, meins)             


2. Person Einzahl: yours (deine, deiner, deins)      


3. Person Einzahl männlich: his (deine, deiner, deins)       


3. Person Einzahl weiblich: hers (ihre, ihrer, ihres)                                      


3. Person sächlich: - (keine Verwendung)


1. Person Mehrzahl: ours (unsere, unserer, unseres)

2. Person Mehrzahl: yours (eure, eurer, eures)

3. Person Mehrzahl: theirs (ihre/ihrer/ihres)
